Early breakfast required for many due to Cycling event on day of departure. Staff very accommodating re this

    Good

The location is beautiful. We had a dog with us so it was great it accommodated for animals.

We paid £60 for a chalete that was very small & not overly clean with curtains 1/2 hanging off the windows. Although friends who were staying in the main hotel at the same time room was lovely & spotless for £10 more than we paid without breakfast.

    Good

Good location and convenient. Room comfortable although was on the main road which was quite noisy.

Windows rattled with wind and room on main road which was quite noisy.

    Good

The staff were very friendly and helpful. It's also in a very good location in the town with good car parking facilities. Breakfast was good.

The hotel is very jaded and old fashioned but we don't actually mind that. However, it's not good that you do not get complementary showering/bathing items. Every hotel/B&B we have stayed in gives you those! It is also a bit overpriced for what you get.

    Friendly staff, dog friendly.

Room tired and dated, no toileteries in bathroom

The convienience of the location to the sports event we were going to.

Old fashioned decor and facilities, too expensive for what we got room wise. No lift to upper floors.

It was a reasonable price considering I was travelling alone and location was good.

I was very disappointed that I wasn't greeted in reception. I waited for 25 minutes in the dining room for breakfast and no staff member came. I went to look for a staff member. There was no receptionist and nobody in the kitchen. Eventually found a staff member in the bar who was quite rude when I said that I had been waiting so long. She continued to be rude and put the tea on the table, said nothing and left. I had been planning to stay another night but decided to leave as soon as possible after this very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this hotel.

    Fabulous

The staff were friendly. The hotel was basic but had what we required for a one night stay i.e. clean room, comfortable bed, restaurant, great location and parking.

I would have liked some toiletries in the bathroom! We stayed in the annexe which was fine for a one night stay but was a bit like sleeping in a portakabin!

    Good

It was close to where I was visiting. Room in annex was basic but fine for one night. Staff good.

    Good

The town of Dunkeld is wonderful and is a great launching point for day trips to surrounding mountains, castles, Booked.neting, etc. It is on the beautiful River Tay and features a splendid half-ruined cathedral on the banks of the river, with nice places to eat and shop. The hotel itself is perfectly located on the main street in the middle of town.

The hotel is kind of shabby and overpriced, with somewhat cranky service, bad breakfast food and few amenities. I think it is worth putting up with a somewhat below par hotel to be in Dunkeld, but I would not highly recommend the hotel in its own right.

Didn't spend much time in hotel as at a wedding nearby.

    Location.

Our room was not of the same standard as the rooms in the photographs. It was last refurbished the 1980s and was grubby. The toilet / shower room was very small. It did not represent value-for-money. However, when we complained we received an immediate discount.

    Fabulous

Staff were really friendly - I was travelling on my own and they made me feel very welcome and were all very chatty. Food was also excellent.
